I don't have any problem with the MS upgrade, we'ren't people complaining that MS didn't have a larger hard drive in the first place? There were complaints that it didn't have an HDMI connection like the PS3 as well.
Maybe they should have added these in the first place but at least they are addressing what some considered the Xbox360 shortcomings.

I'm doing a resarch paper/senior seminar project for university on online communities and their ties to the online and offline worlds. NOTE: This paper will NOT be published...I repeat...this paper will NOT be published. This is purely for a grade. Thanks. With some interest in Apple myself obviously, I'm looking at the impact of sites like MacRumors and AppleInsider on Apple in the offline. Some questions to pose:
1) Is Apple's stock price affected by rumors stemming from such communities? Are expectations raised, do you think analysts and investors read these sites since Apple is so secretive?
2) Why do you participate in this community? What draws you to it? Is it casual entertainment or do you feel connected to the community and compelled to contribute?
3) What is your opinion on the steps Apple has taken to quiet some of these rumors sites (AppleInsider, PowerPage.org, ThinkSecret, etc.)
4) Overall, how is Apple affected by these rumor sites (recall the Mac Mini fiasco two years ago)
5) What do you enjoy about MacRumors specifically? How is it different from other sites? What makes it stand out?
6) Which forums do you find the most enjoyable to participate in? What do you think about this site's specific layout and separate of things such as Politics/Religion and Miscellaneous threads from Apple/Industry specific threads?

It's been "dual for ages" because that's the only way for Apple to remain competitive using Moto's chips.

If this major push for Firefox 1.0 (the official release) has the desired effect, Firefox's market share could easily double, triple, or even quadruple (4x what it is now). Just imagine how such a development would stun Microsoft - and the killer thing is that their usual tactics fall flat on their face here.

Dreadnought, I just installed InCrease (Dual version) on the X-serve a few days ago and it kicks A**. I goes through 50-60 point GROMACS in less than 10 hours. tonight i checked my status before leaving work and I was #140 but the time I got home I was #139. I think I've gained one or two positions a day since getting the server folding:D when we get the company squared away I will have 2 additional DELLs up and folding and 2 more Macs in the fray for a total of 9 CPUs doing Folding. But you're right about passing.... it's like a NASCAR race you can catch em, but passing another story..;) but we'll see:rolleyes:

Now why do hackers have to go do this? they say they do it cuz the prices that cd's are is "unfair" and "overpriced". now i simply have to ask the question... if your a hacker.. more than likely you deal with computers. dont you think that your overpaid for you job? for a small simple example.. best buy geek squad.. overpriced.. they want 30+ dollars to install a stick of ram. the point is... the money is for the most part equally distributed to be able to pay these high prices. income is accomidated for the high prices of products. if u think it's bad over here.. go to japan and try and buy a medium fries on their "dollar menu" which in usd=$5. so back my main point... just pay the frick'n money, most ppl's income are accomidated for the increase cost. if you feel u cant afford a cd... that's what christmas or your birthday is for or even the radio. by the way... i'm not an "artist" either... im majoring in ECE myself so i'm not biased.

I suppose it's Sony's fault for not having a low-speed Memory Stick then. I've found SD's to be perfect. I've played 640*480 H.264 videos off SD cards in the past, heck even MicroSD has never lagged. The comparison was just what one shop here offered, of course it would be different at a pro camera shop or wherever.
I doubt the PSP needs anything faster than that.

Probably true, but there is no reason why they couldn't have at least updated their website over the weekend. I can understand waiting for a weekday to release products, but it seems odd to me to wait until 2 days after your anniversary to post it on your website.
Anyway, I hope your right.

The spacing between then thing's edge and the monitor is completely different. I think this would have requried some pretty spiffy Photoshop work to fake the image from this product.
However, I'm not really saying that I believe this yet... I have no proof against it, nor for it. As you all know, we've seen some pretty good fakes in the past.

I agree with the determination of OmniWeb as the winner. What would make OmniWeb even better IMO is if it was able to take advantage of the latest WebCore built into Mac OS X.
