I see what you mean but I don't agree. Classics are classics and they break their own rating system when they score games like Wario Ware that high. GoW is a shooter with a facelift and cover system. OoT was revolutionary for its time. Granted, M$ is doing a good job innovating with their online system.
Basically, it seems that we shouldn't rely on Gamespot for guidance on games at all. Sites like metacritic and gamerankings are by far the most balanced because they try to boil the reviews from all of the critics down. Still it is best to play a game before passing judgement. Excite Truck was much better than any of the scores reviewer gave it.
But now you are just corroborating what I said, OoT was revolutionary for its time but NOT for THIS time. I agree classics are classics but by today standards, ignoring how much fun they were, how happy they made us and how revolutionary they were to the industry (or even the world), newer games are better and deserve a better score if they are all judged on the same basis.
Your last statement also brings up another point, game reviewers play all the games released, they are obviously going to be more picky about games than us that we only play like 50 games or so per generation (and thats on a good generation) so playing a game you are interested in before dismissing it just because it got a bad score (or an ok score) is a very wise thing to do.

isn't socialization the entire concept behind MMO's?
It's a bit part of it - players from around the world, together, doing quests, communicating. It's more sociable than sitting on Oblivion for hours I guess. But it is a game at the end of the day and Blizzard have been tried to stress that recently, especially in the tips: "Remember to play outside Azeroth with your friends too" (or something similar).

Very nice idea for an app! I've been doing this by hand until now--one of the first non-photo uses I thought of for the color display.
FYI, it supports MapQuest and MapBlast too.
EDIT: Oops... it's text-only. Guess I'll keep loading the actual maps onto my iPod by hand.

Also, they don't state what compiler they're planning to get those numbers with, if it's GCC we're in luck. If it's some ubercompiler, then the numbers probably mean more (since that's what Intel's using).

FWIW, I have the same problem with one of my Wiimotes and Spongebob CFTKK (Yeah, I know, but the kidlets enjoy the game). Unplug and replug the nunchuck and it works just fine. :confused:

I have every confidence that Apple will catch up with or surpass the PC market sometime in the future... But if they go with IBM it will be a long time (probably a year or more) before they do.
A little over a week ago was when the first serious rumors of AMD chips in macs came up... and now AMD delayed hammers to about the time new powermacs would be due.... Is it possible AMD is pushing back the PC version of their hammer to make a special mac version of it for simultaneous release?

On the other hand, I honestly don't have one and have no problem letting anyone from TV Licensing into the flat to confirm the situation. Don't miss having one at all.
I think the broader issue here is that television is simply a product like any other, regardless of its popularity. To be in a situation where you have to suffer an invasion of privacy just to prove that you don't want to buy a product is, quite frankly, bollocks.
