I hate MySpace with a passion, and no, I don't have one. I considered putting a redirect in /etc/hosts to redirect all myspace pages to 127.0.0.1 but then I decided that having "myspace" saved anywhere on my hard drive would cause me emotional pain and I couldn't do it. Besides, I'm the only one who uses this computer and I have no interest in visiting MySpace.

I am sorry, but you can't compare the stability of Windows (of any flavor) with OS X. I have never, repeat never, in 2 years of running OS X had a single crash. I can tell you that my office machines running 2000, are regularly down.

This is stupid...why couldn't Nintendo get with the program and have nintendo wifi on the wii up and running by now...something that is norm now in the gaming world we have to beg for from nintendo...come on N you are the king of multiplayer!:mad:

I've been using FireFox on my PC for everything since 0.6. IMO it is the best browser for Windows, and a close second/even first to Safari for OS X.

i think the best way for it to work is that the computer controls the theatre system, but is also accessed through the system, perhaps a simplified X platform that is only for media controlling, and is run from the computer. Airport should be used to link the main box (EQ, whatever) to the computer itself. The real question i have is what true advantages this has over present day systems-- certainly not costs... i guess you could enter your schedule into your PDA, it bluetooths to the computer and you see your iCalendar on the TV, or you can bring your ipod to a friend's house and play your songs without plugging anything in... in about any scenario, bluetooth plays a major role, i think...

Well I think what would be the best anti-piracy method would be bind the Adobe software key with your Macintosh's Serial Number. Perhaps even as going as far as generating an adobe serial number from the hardware serial number so that that serial number for that specific Adobe app would be only useful on that machine.

and my G5 gets a bit of a rest instead of folding 24/7. It uses a lot of power and am trying to cut down my electric bill.
If i told you then it would not be a secret. I lost another work unit to the beta client.....however i still am getting decent daily output. I will tell you when i am in the top 100......o and by the way i am not folding under trainguy77.....You may already know what i am folding under but if you don't.....I will tell you when i am about to overtake you. :D

Music is too expensive, and the music industry doesn't do anything to fill the needs of the consumer - a aac file doesn't cost a penny to produce, unlike the CD, so why is a aac file so expensive? The music industry doesn't allow to sell mp3's - which is the format most likely to be accepted by the comsumer.
Actually if i were an evil MI exectutive i'd developed (or rather have made my techs develop) DRM for mp3 and just sold it as mp3(with some explanation in tiny fontsize).
With the mp3 format it would even be simple to have some explaining sound as normal audio content and the actual "protected" content in another frame so normal players tell you why you're wrong ;).
Marketed as mp3, supported mp3 players play it and once people notice they got suckered it's too late.
Of course a generic DRM system for arbitrary content is just as easy to do but selling it piece by piece sure is the better business strategy.
Of course as no DRM system actually can work you'll never get out of business selling updates.

Apple says that the eMac was made for education users in conjunction with educations users. It addresses the issues that they had with the old and new iMacs.
PS. Your opinion RogueLdr is probably close to the truth. But, apple would develop a CRT monitor after stating that they were moving to an all LCD line.
It seems that they reakised that the new iMacs were a tad too expensive in their basic config and too fragile for a classroom. The eMac is very, very hard to break. I know.
A kid at my school knocked one off the back of a table whilst trying to get it and the keyboard (piano, not computer) to fit on the desk aswell. Damn, i was wrong. The aint got chiped and the MIDI converter had to be replaced. eMac was fine though.
