People like this probably have 'white lists', only people specified in the system will even be able to get an email to them. All the rest will be instantly trashed.

I have a feeling we'll be seeing the El Capitan for another year at least. Otherwise, why would they bother rearranging the innards for the MDD's? We all know that the massive power supply and heat sink isn't being used fully by the current hardware sitting in there, so we'll at least be seeing that played out (I hope... :rolleyes: ).
Personally, I'd go with the El Capitan case for good and not complain. :) The handles are great, the flip-down side is invaluable, now all they need is a front-mounted USB and FW port and I'll be happy!

Hey does this multimedia jukebox thing even exist? They've yet to see any real product shots on their page. All you see are the same renderings they've had up for over 6 months now. Are there any reviews of this thing? I'm thinking vaporware...

Keep us posted! And MAKE SURE you keep details logs (even if it's on paper) of the date/times you notice these things. Also, you need to make sure that you take a picture of the house with the blue glow as well!
I've been taking screenshots of when they connect to my network and writing down who is home in the neighborhood when it is connected. Also have my router set to log IP addresses just in case.

Yeah, that Connect360 program is great. It even tells you the serial number of the 360s that are on your network so I know it is mine.
I'm not too sure about stealing internet in this area. Its a college town with a ton of apartments so I'm sure there is a lot of it going on. Whether the police do anything about it or not is a mystery to me.

I have been using macs all of my life. My post is about the WoW effect. Do you think it ever Really fades. I just started using one of our old ibook's and cubes. The ibook is a graphite colored one. The cube has a 17 inch apple screen. When I used to use the ibook I got tired of it but since I started using it again I am still wowing and the cube is just wow. Has anybody ever lost the wow effect and just threw away/ sold there computer after some time of getting a new one. Not selling cause you need the money or want the money. Just because you dislike the computer.

I think we can all admit that Apple wasn't in a very good financial position when Winer wrote this, and his viewpoint was probably not unique, at that time.
But, like the OP said, hindsight is 20/20...
oh yeah apple was on the edge of death at that point in time. It was a very risky move on their part to do it. It paid off but there was a long string of things that could of gone either way for apple and apple would of been screwed.
It not about apple products being better than others. It was about the timing of the release of some of them. the iPod was released at just the right time. Earily or later it would of flopped. They got it out right when the market started to come into play and it grew from there.
Most of there stuff just happen to be at the right time. there was a huge ammount of luck involved with apple. They had to take big chances if they wanted to stay alive. It was make it or break it for them. When you are on the edge of colasp is when you take the greatest risk

Yes, if my Xbox was stolen, I'd definitely want it back -- probably enough so that I wouldn't care what MS did on my behalf. But as it didn't happen to me, I can be more rational about this.
I don't think MS should give out this information to end customers. It would create way too many loopholes and all XBox Live user's privacy would potentially be compromised. Now if cops were to call MS and say "We're investigating a stolen XBox," that id tracking system you described comes in very handy.

A/UX was abandoned because it would have had to have been rewritten from the top down to run on PowerPC, and Apple had its hands full porting System 7 to PowerPC. But the internal assumption was that Taligent (and/or, later, Copland) would supplant System 7 soon enough to give Apple a modern sophisticated OS. Had Apple stuck with the 680x0 family a bit longer, or had an earlier foreboding about the state of the Taligent/Copland projects, we might be using an Apple Unix that grew out of A/UX instead of one that developed from NeXT, and a whole lot sooner.What is scary is that this could have put Apple right in the middle of the SCO stuff. Remember that A/UX was based on System V (SVR2.2 at the time), which is still a non-free version of Unix*.

I would. I don't care if apple cancels me or not. So what if they cancel me? Am i going to get poorer?. How a company makes money by deliberatly losing customers is beyond me. Are you a apple employee or stockholder?. You sound pretty desperate. You should sell your stock quick or put your resume out there but stop posting silly stuff. As noted before, apple is not going to cancel anyone's account.

How come nobody is asking for a solar powered PowerBook that recharges in the dark?
Wouldn't that solve the battery life problems related to all those gadgets you want stuffed into a limited space?
