Hi Redeye,
I have come accross another bug, or it's my dual G5... or Atszyman is spoking me out! Like he's ever gonna catch up with me!
This is the case: I have three folding widgets running for over a week now, no problem in that week. I have three because I want to monitor someone behind me (Atszyman) and my next overtake in front of me. But when I just looked all three widgets where on Atszyman.

The thing I like most about this movie, is Steves grin about half way through after the Mac finishes talking. He looked immensely proud.

Though ironcally, the iMac in the foreground has a Windows-related page open!
The image is from the Getty Images library and was intended for a story about Boot Camp, so the Windows page was sort of relevant for that purpose - the BBC just decided to reuse it for some reason.

Another one I noticed recently was an article about the Carphone Warehouse's broadband (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/4898212.stm) - although to be fair they did use PC laptops for other articles about the same story, but obviously we don't notice those quite as much ;)

I routinely hack into your dual G5 and make sure that you get lots of Tinkers. This way I don't feel like I'm hindering the effort but I can still cripple you...:D
Your IP address is 127.0.0.1 correct?

This movie will suck......please please let Uwe Boll direct it:rolleyes:
Mario film...cult status....more like 50cent bin status
MPrime...a movie without any dialogue just trippy movie...cool sounds like 2001 to me.
Note: Anything Silent Hill rocks!...the movie was grand...not sticking to the story but none the less.

I sure hope they're right...not that I mind chipping paint. When I buy a pb, it'll be well used, and have lots of scratches. Thats my style;) But that'll be important for others.
As for the educational discounts an attempt to flush inventory...wouldn't it be easier to empty inventory by offering discounts to everyone?
I put off buying a new powerbook for fall semester...better not make me wait until jan for a minor speed bump! Gimme more!:D

an external superdrive? what have u been smoking?

I (finally) bought a Wii yesterday, so technically this month I've bought Wii Sports.
I haven't set it up though, so I'm yet to play it. However, I'm looking forward to buying some games on the Virtual Console later this week! (There goes my social life. ;) )

Nermal,
You have to understand that there are Hundreds of Thousands (Probably more) of people out there that are not as "Tech Savy" as you that check every day for the latest and greatest plugins, updates, programs and toys.
I'm pretty sure when it was first announced, I would've learnt about it from this site. I was just trying to point out that the existence of the plugin isn't news. However, I apologise for coming across harsher than usual, I don't actually remember why - maybe the phone had just rung or something and I wanted to just quickly post something
Edit: Anyway, here's the original thread (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=68413), from April.

Instead of a new Screen from Apple I would like to see the 23in get a lower price or a res. boost.

Most likely not wiht the idea of scrolling long web pages (besides, a lot of scroll mouse users use the directional keys to look at web pages; i know i do!)
While the rest is all well and good, I have to ask: editing keyboard? Apple made an editing keyboard?
To everyone else: The one-button mouse is just fine for me. It serves all my purposes well, and I am hardly a novice user. Any time I need a contextual menu, I crtl-click. It's become second nature at this point. The only reason I would want a multi-button mouse is that you need one to run Maya, even the PLE version. Okay, fine the scroll wheels are nice too.

There isn't a universal yet; but you can run the 'application' in Rosetta (but not the screensaver, because Rosetta doesn't do screensavers,) or you could try downloading the source and building it yourself.
(Or, if you're REALLY adventurous, you could try running the x86 command-line Linux version...)

My dad needs to get a new laptop (under $800) and he has sent me out to do some research for him. I was thinking dell or HP. I like the dell line, but I cant deside. I could get him a real cheap one with a ntel Celeron M for $619. But I have an oversion to "outdated" technology and I want to suggest a Inspiron E1405 with Intel Core Solo 1.66GHz for $749. Is ti really worth $150 more?? It'll be used for basic computing. nothing special.
I you have an aversion to outdated technology, why don't you get him to buy a MacBook? It will safe you many many hours of giving free tech support, so it's definitely worth the money ($1199 with 1 GB of RAM).

Funny, that should be about the time Vista SP1 hits the streets. Maybe by then they'll have WinFS available. Bye Bye Billy Boy. I'd walk away in shame as well.

While I am no insider, I get the feeling that Apple might be just waiting for their stock to reduce a little before releasing new PowerBooks.
PowerBook 667s have been shipping to fill backlog whereas 800s have been in stock for a while.
As I suggested, I am just speculating here but maybe they are waiting to sell more 800s and clear stock and then they will release.
